My friend Melissa of Work of Art Photography and Design commissioned this beautiful painting for her dear friend Natalie. Making sure she took a silhouette picture for me, we conspired to get the perfect painting. She wanted blue for a boy, green and jungle for the nursery, crowns for the little prince, golf balls for dad, and a bible verse for the rainbow baby. I am truly honored to be a part of this gift.

Becca has accomplished a lot for a 25 year old. As a single mother of 3 she has managed to work close to full time at several jobs, go to school full time, and raise her beautiful girls. If that wasn't enough in December she graduated in December with a degree in nursing, past her nursing board and got an advantageous internship that allows her to spend more time with her girls. Usually I don't know my clients like this but she is also my youngest sister in law and she has no idea I made this for her. I got a hold of a mutual friend of our's to find out the extra details I just didn't know. Mainly favorite flower and color, I was told roses and pink. Becca also has a very strong faith in God and I wanted to make sure that it is incorporated into the work. The pink and grey flowers are an artistic representation of roses. The bible quote I decided on is "She is clothed in dignity & stregnth and she laughs without fear of the future." Proverbs 31:25. I felt it suited her perfectly. I picked the pink on pink damask with a little help from some friend here at home. Its delicate and feminine. It reminds me of some of the Persian prints I have seen. She has Persian ancestry and that's the closest I could come for now. |
